Mkay, well I finally got off my lazy butt and decided to buy the new pistol I've been planning on getting since before last Christmas. Sigh.

Anyways, Went out and picked up the Ruger SR40c today, and I'm planning on making it my main carry gun once my CHL comes in the mail. So, I haven't really looked into this much, but does anyone have any suggestions for a good holster that'll fit him?

for IWB I would recomend the mtac or spartan sold through comp-tac
for leather owb I think the Galco concealable is made for it
What kind of holser are you interested in? IWB,OWB,shoulder, ect.

Well I don't have an SR40c yet but when I do get one I will be using this holster right here http://shopruger.com/SR9-SR9c-SR40-SR40c-Mitch-Rosen-Holster/productinfo/50073/. I have that exact same holster for my Ruger LCR and it's by far the best holster I've ever purchased!! I've tried almost all of the different styles and brands of holster and I've decided that a nice high riding owb holster is perfect for me and the Mitch Rosen quality is just top notch!

I just recently purchased the Taurus PT709 and am also looking for a good carry holster. If anyone has any recommendations it would be greatly appreciated.

I don't think there is any way around buying a bunch of different holsters trying to find out what works right for you.

A holster I often recommend is the Raven Concealment Phantom (lots of copiers these days). With one holster, and different attachments, you can try different cants and ride heights as well as Inside the Waist Band (IWB), and Outside the Waist Band (OWB) carry. This should help you define what carry method works best for you, with just one holster, then you can focus the rest of your search for holsters that match that carry mode.

It is very thin and light weight and seems like a natural for the thin and light Ruger SR pistols.
