That is really nice looking. Are the swords from a certain era of history or remakes? It all is very nice. I'll e-mail you my address so you can ship it on over:)

Cut the excess string off the hilt of the sabre.

Re-center the rifle left/right since I work in signs I hate to see things off center.

I'm just jealous because I want that gun.

Real nice. I've been thinking about doing something similar with an old Pennsylvania flintlock long rifle. Hadn't thought about incorporating swords, but that's a good idea. Thanks for the photo.

The bottom sword is a replica of an 1860 cavalry saber but the top one is actually an antique. I have tried doing research on it's origin but have yet to find out how old it is. There is an emblem on it that I have yet to match to anything. The handle is lizard skin.

Looks good except for one thing. The saber is upside down. Needs to be flipped over so that the pointy end and sharp edge is facing up, and the handle at the bottom.

Nice lookin' setup.
I have an old commemorative Winchester, that I've been wanting to put on the wall .... but haven't been able to come up with any good ideas for a 'display'. What type of hangers did you use to set the rifle on? I'd much rather build some kind of setup myself, than to just buy a 'gun rack'.
Still trying to come up with some good ideas .... recommendations(?)

Red Dragon,

What year and model Winchester is it? Thats a "sharp" lookin' display! LOL

Now ya need a Henry to keep the Winchester company!

Ya know, this looks like a good idea for me to pull off at home too. I've got a Winchester '94 on the way, no room in the gun safe and the wife won't let me buy another safe until we pay off the second mortgage. Not to mention a big empty space over the fireplace.
If you hear a woman screem from the East Coast, you know I tried !!

Hey! What the hell is wrong with being an MP?! I was an MP:neener:
Why do I think the next line shoulda been "I'll have you know, Callahan, I came up through personnel.";)

(NO insult intended to ANYone - I just liked the line...)

Nice. Wish I had the confidence to do that.

Do you just never leave home, or do you lock the rifle up in your gunsafe when you go somewhere?

lpl/nc (BTW, it's probably sharkskin...)

Nothing wrong with being an MP, IF you want to be an MP. I didn't want to be one. I wanted Combat Arms. Could have been worse, two guys who got commissioned with me got force branched Chemical Corps. :what: :barf: :what: :barf:

Were they the slow ones in the class? Chem Corps had that reputation for a long time, only recently did they start getting higher quality people.
