I have my Indiana permit. It seems to be accepted as much as any other states,(so no "NEED" for a non res.)but would getting as many non res permits as possible help,or hurt our causes? If politicians look at numbers,i would think it would be helpful, but are there legal aspects i'm over looking?

    I purchased non-res permits because :
My res did not cover some states I traveled through or final destination.
My res is flagged on DL, non -res are not .

example: res legal in FL, not legal in states b/t here and FL. NOn res I'm covered in res state, FL and states en route.

Had one un-planned stop once when due to weather had to land in a state and ended up staying for 2 days. Friend of friend loaned me a gun while stuck there, I was legal.

If political so be it. I just wanted bases covered.

Mmmm, Matt, may be a flaw in your premise. Indiana's LTCH is not as widely accepted as many other states.

For example, a non-resident Florida license is valid in over 20 states. Maybe a political statement, but my primary focus is to CMA.:D

Personally I think that getting as many permits as you can could only help. I have a Massachuetts LTC but have recently gotten a NH non-resident permit and will be looking at other states as well.

The only down-side I think anyone could argue is that by getting a license , any license, "you are supporting illegal restrictions on our Second Amendment rights". Well, I think that is a weak arguement at the very best. The license requirements are firmly in place in most places and are not going away, at least not any time soon.
