    Hi all!

Just wondering if anyone has one of the Norinco 1911 (Model NP29) pistols??
Would this gun make a good start for a custom gun project??
Some of the guys here down under oz seem to think they are good value, and with some minor mods shoot quiet well!!
Any info would be GREAT!!!:confused::confused::confused:

A lot of Yanks regard the Communist Chinese pistols highly. The low machinability steel is thought to be extra strong. And they were cheap before imports were cut off. The sloppy barrel can be replaced and the crooked holes can be allowed for in rebuild.

They are available in Canada and highly regarded. Marstar is an importer of the 1911 and other Nork models. Check out www.canadiangunnutz.com

    I've got one.
    Great value for money IMO.
Accurate and reliable, it would be a good starting place if you wanted a custom pistol on a budget.

    Hey mate,

Check out pbaimports.com.au and gunsngear.com.au they should have similar and better options for the 1911 depending on how much you want to spend :)

Spare mags try gold coast shooter supplies, they have the cheaper colt 1911 mags. They work but don't always lock back after the last round, would be worth while getting some decent ones as well like Chip McCormick they should have some of those as well.
