I think most of us are aware of the proposals mentioned, but it is worth noting that Obama does seem to be considering action on guns now. I wonder if he will wait for a second term, or if he feels he won't be re-elected if he would push something now?

Gun control tends to be politically unpopular, so no, I do not think we would push for it to get re-elected. It is something he would do once he is in his second term when it won't have political consequences for his administration.

All I cay say is simply to remain vigilant. If it worries you, write to your representatives.

Neither politics nor unfounded speculation are High Road activities. If anyone knows of specific anti-RKBA activities by any organization or individual, the Activism Planning forum exists to allow you to discuss ways to intelligently counter those activities.

Otherwise - it's just off topic.
