kick me if you think i'm thinking like an idiot ...

but i have this thing with oddball 1911's. i just love the platform, and have several custom 1911's in different calibers, like .38 super, 9mm, and .357 sig (the last one being my favorite).

builders like kimber have done a few of these for me ...

but is there anyone out there who will build one 7.62 x 25?

the north vietnamese and VC converted captured 1911's to fire TOK ammo... some are flat out dangersous home done conversions

Why would you WANT a 7.62x25 1911?

Where's the icon I need? Oh yeah...:barf:

On a more serious note, I would imagine the round is too L-O-N-G (1.39") to fit within the confines of the 1911 mag & magwell.

I'm the same way. I've got 1911's in 9x23 Winchester and 10mm. I came across a 1911 barrel in 41 Action Express a while ago and would like to use it for a build someday. The Tokarev round is too long for the 1911 but one .30 cal. pistol round that would work is 30 Luger. I've always wanted a Commander-size 1911 in 30 Luger, just for kicks. Only obstacle is finding a barrel.

1911 7.62x25

I would love a 1911 in 7.62x25. I even took my 1911 apart one day and was playing around seeing if it would work.:D
