One flashlight for rifle, shotgun, & pistol?

Has anyone used the Streamlight TLR-1 or TLR-2? If so, on what kind of weapon?

I'm trying to figure out the best all purpose LED flashlight. I'd like it to be able to switch between my XD, 870 HD, and my AR-15.

The TLR series has adapters for the 870 and ARs, but I'm wondering if anyone has used them, and what you think of them, or if you would recommend something else for my 3 "tactical" guns.
