Amazing how many of these are still around.

Shotgun News has a great article on these... seems like Colt produced a half million of them in .32 and .380 over the years.

No wonder they are still around.

A bit OT, but how do the quality of these compare to the Browning 1910? Were these Colts made in the USA?

I have a little Browning 1910 in .380 and love it. Was thinking about getting one of these as well.

All Colt 1903/1908's were made in the USA. Quality of a pre-war Colt is as good or better than anything made in Europe.

Thanks for sharing these vintage Colt pocket pistols guys. And thank you John M. Browning for another classic! Someday I'll make room in my safe for one. What elegance and early history.........

digi-shots, that is a real beauty.

Did you get it already engraved and plated or did you have it done?

I had a fellow in Washington state do the work... Dale Woody.

Here's another pic... you can see the detail better.

digi shots - would you mind letting us know who did the work on your 03 ? I have a .32 and .380 that are pretty slick and would make good candidates for beautification as a pair. Also rough idea of cost if you want. Thanks, -Don :)

Someday I am going to find another that is a little less pristine and shoot the blazes out of it..
Iggy,
You may as well shoot your Grandpa's gun, you're never going to get rid of it right? And you are going to pass it to one of your kids, right? So why should your kids have all the fun after your dead and gone. For God's sake man it's a gun, shoot it.

I found one today in fair condition... Got it cleaned up and we're goin' shootin' tomorrow. It cleaned up pretty well. It is nice enough to be treated with care and respect.

This one is a 1916 version, but it will keep the young'n company quite well.

digi-shots, I hate you:neener: . No one should be allowed to own a pistol so friggen perfect, and then make it better with that engraving. I am envious to the utmost degree.

So, if there were half a million or so, how many of the .380s are out there? I'd buy one of those in a heartbeat, if it still functioned. .32 is bad on a college student's budget :(
