When the Senate reconvenes, Harry Reid is expected to destroy Senate minority rights and turn the Senate into nothing more than a rubber-stamp for Obama's statist agenda. this will mean removing/limiting the filibuster option

This war isn't months away, or even weeks away.

This fight is going down today!

PLease call your senators and ask them to vote AGAINST this nuclear option.
To get your senator's contact, please look at:

Even the leftist news sources don't believe this:

What is your source for this pile of horse... I mean "news"? Is this the same "nuclear option" the Republicans tried to pull when bush was in office? It failed then too.

Provide some credible proof like, say, an email from the Senate Minority Whip.

Ruger has an execllen link they have created that makes it very very easy (like under two minutes from when you get to their homepage) to send an email/letter (not sure which) to both your federal and state represenatives.

This isn't the first I've heard of this either. I contacted my reps about three weeks ago when I first read an article on this with quotes from politicians.

I contacted my reps. yesterday. This is only the tip of the iceberg. Just wait 'til the effluent from this administration bubbles-up from the water line. Shocked won't begin to describe what is in store.

    From Steve Wenger's news letter:

From GOA: It’s probably a harbinger of sell-outs to come. But Senate GOP Leader Mitch McConnell is apparently about to conclude an agreement with Majority Leader Harry Reid which would sell out pro-gunners and decimate minority rights under the Senate rules. This change could occur as early as Wednesday. If enacted, it could handcuff pro-gun forces and keep them from defeating the most radical initiatives aimed at restricting our Second Amendment rights. The first of two changes would allow Harry Reid – and only Harry Reid – to circumvent the hurdles that the minority could use to slow down a controversial gun control bill. As you may remember from the fight over the anti-gun ObamaCare bill, the filibuster of the "motion to proceed" is the last point where pro-gunners can delay a bill before Harry Reid can bribe Senators and buy votes with deals like the infamous Cornhusker Kickback... ACTION: Please contact your U.S. Senators immediately. While you can contact them here through CapWiz, we would strongly encourage you to call your Senators and DEMAND that they leave the filibuster alone! You can reach them by calling the U.S. Senate switchboard at 202-224-3121. And, please call Sen. Mitch McConnell (202-224-2541) and tell him to make NO DEALS to limit the use of the filibuster. Please note that we have included separate letters for Republicans and Democrat Senators. (Those letters can be e-mailed from the link below or, if your Senator has not yet established an e-mail address, printed and mailed.)

Doesn't it require a 2/3 vote to change senate rules? So without a super majority, they can't implement this plan, and with a super majority they dont' need it.

    What's the point?

Acording to your links it is horse...

"Mr. Reid’s proposal would not eliminate the filibuster. Rather, he wants to prevent it from being used to thwart debates on bills and require that senators actually be present on the floor when they filibuster a bill, something that has not been necessary for years despite the mythology created by movies like “Mr. Smith Goes to Washington.”"

The reports appear to say that they want to change the rules for the filibuster to actually require officials to be present instead of the current approach of just making an appearance.

What's the direct relationship to RKBA here?

Propaganda. To fuel the current wave of ignorance driven panic and prevent rational debate.

Also, Senate rules can only be changed on the first day of each new Congress. Even though Reid is playing a game by not formally closing session, he can't implement this plan weeks after the first day without breaking Senate rules (which he can be censured for).

It's a hollow threat, nothing more.
