PPK - S&W vs Interarms Question

Howdy all! Great Forum!!!

I have a question regarding the PPK 380. Recently I just purchased a Walther PPK for my wife. It's stainless and marked S&W. I know Interarms also makes the PPK in 380 but I figured both the S&W and the Interarms versions were both built on the same frame. I have been looking to purchase a new set of grips but I am finding that the Interarms and the S&W versions are not interchangeable. Is this correct? If so, why the differance?

The SW version has an additional internal strut that is supposed to lighten DA pull, it also has an extended beavertail (or whatever you call it) on the frame. The grooves and details on the underside of the SW grips are different than the old Walther design.

Your SW PPK needs SW specific grips.

Be patient with any feeding or ejection issues during the first 500 rounds or so, these guns need to be broken in.

Very much not the same frame, as noted, and the Interarms PPK has been out of production for several years.

Also...thanks for the heads up regarding break in. This is the first Walther in the safe and looking forward to shooting it.
