I have a friend's pistol over here.

It's a Browning High Power, made in Belgium, serial no. is 73C93XXX.

It's missing the rear sight. Apparently there was part of the original sight still attached to the slide, but some of the adjuster pieces had fallen off and the base of the sight was removed to be used as a guide in the search for parts.

Now there's nothing but a dovetail.

We've looked all over the place, and haven't found any easy answers. Apparently there are a half dozen different sizes and shapes for these things, but nobody seems to have any sort of guide to help decipher what sight goes on which pistol.

Anybody got any ideas on a source for the correct rear sight for this pistol?

That dovetail is .370" at the bottom, .250" at the top. and .135" deep.

I know SOMEBODY has the perfect sight sitting enshrined in a little box somewhere... but we just can't seem to find it!

Any help, insight, or info would be appreciated. This BHP is a fine old pistol and it will probably get refinished and put back in service if we can find some sights for it.

Thanks!
