Rem. 700 ADL stock question

This should not take much discussion. I have a 700 ADL long action 30-06. I'm finding it hard in my new tree lounger to put up and have my eye close enough to fill the scope. Yes the scope is all the way back in the mounts. I have fairly short arms an rather not cut down a very nice stock that I can use while standing, so my question is , Will a youth stock fit my 700 ADL? How much shorter is a youth than standard? Thanks for any expert info!
( like it is I just got a 150 lb. hog last week :/ ).

If you get a one piece picatinny base and tactical rings, that should allow you to move the scope further back..

I guess I should have add that my reach to the trigger is pushing my ablity to swing and stay on so it is not just the scope.

I'm not so sure they make "youth" guns in long action...

That was really my question. Do they even make a long youth. I guess I could get a standard and cut it if not.

Agreed. I think that is going to be your best option.

Use a scope with more eye relief. Leupolds are generally the most forgiving.

It doesn't sound like changing the scope or it's position will help much. A shorter LOP is in order.

Youth stocks are normally 1in shorter than normal.

You may be able to find a take-off stock at a place like Kittery Trading Post or at a gun show.

Either try and find a aftermarket adjustable one, or start cutting it off in half inch lengths. What butt pad you going with?
