Got a quick question for you. If I lube my 223 cases, resize them and them and then trim them can I set them aside to load another day without fear of setback? My concern is that I may not get around to loading them for several days.

Brass dimensions will only change after having been fired. So once you have brass that has been preped for loading you can store it forever, providing it doesn't get badly tarnished to the extent it has pitting from exposure to the elements. Store it in a zip lock baggie or in something that will protect it form humidity.

That's all true. Lot's of people load in batches. That is, when they go to "reload" they are actually only doing one single operation to a "pile" of brass in one evening. Could be 50; could be 5000. In this mode of processing, 4 or 5 piles might be working their way through the entire process, each at a different stage. A particular pile might take more than a month to progress from 'tumbled' to 'ready to fire', but one of the piles is always being finished right before every shooting outing.

So 'yes' you can do an operation to your brass and let it sit for a LONG time before you'll need to worry.

Sure you can plus gives you time to clean up and inspect the brass before you prime and load.

Storing processed brass in closed bags is a really good idea. Just last week I pulled out an open box of 22 Hornet brass I started working on back in the winter. The brass was all sized, trimmed and chamfered. Last week I started priming it, and as I picked up one case, a small spider ran out of the case. Upon close inspection, there was a substantial amount of web material down inside the case. I hate to think about loading that case and firing it.

If it was gonna "set-back" just setting around before you load it?
It would also "set-back" after you loaded it.

Right?

As everyone said, once sized, it stays sized until you shoot it, even if its 100 years from now.
