Got an email from RMR last week, stating that the latest batch of copper they received from their supplier was bad, and it was going to be at least two weeks before they would get in a replacement batch.

So for the time being, they can't make their in-house 9mm 115gr FMJ. Right when I run out of my last batch!

Darn it, Jake! :)

They are offering a discount on the 115gr FMJ that they carry that isn't made in-house. So I ordered 1k of them to hold me over until RMR can start producing their own again. The discount is offered by way of a discount code that they included in their email... I'm not sure if it would be alright for me to post that code here, so I won't unless they say it's ok.

I've shot 4,000 of RMR's in house 115 gr FMJ now, and I'm having withdrawal symptoms being out of them. They are a really great bullet.

Sorry to hear your supplier sent you a load of garbage, Jake. Hope they make it right with you soon.

My personal favorite recipe for RMR's in house 115 gr FMJ is 5.2gr CFE-Pistol, CCI Small Pistol Primer, 1.125 OAL. This is an extremely accurate load for my S&W M&P CORE 9L and my son's CZ 75 P-01. My chrono says I'm getting 1150-1175 fps.

So while we wait for Jake's supplier to get their act together, let's talk about RMR! What do you guys think of RMR's bullets? Not just the 9mm 115gr FMJ, but all the other ones that they make in house?

I just added a Springfield XD-40 Compact to my collection. It's the first .40 S&W I've owned in 25 years. I'm looking for a good practice bullet for it, and would love to hear what you guys think of RMR's .40 caliber offerings.

I use 62 gr RMR in my 5.56's and I like the 158 gr copper plated HP and flatnose for range practice in the 38 spl and .357.
I also use a good amount of 230 gr copper plated RN in my 45 autos. Sometimes they get some pulled higher end bullets that they don't name. These are usually great deals.
I'm a big fan of RMR. I go there first when I need bullets for the usual stuff.
When they run behind, the customer service also includes honest notification rather than having to sit and wonder what the heck is going on. ( And you get a decal with a personal thank you on the back )
I stuck one on my wife's forehead.

All of RMR's offerings are very nice in my opinion. They're 180 grain plated bullets are awesome and now they have 165's. They also have new 180 grain FMJ's and pulled 180 grain FMJ's.

I have 1000 of the RMR 115 grain FMJ's and they are outstanding. I run 5.6 grains CFE-Pistol and its very accurate in all of my 9's.

I'm almost out of my stash. The 115gr FMJ's shoot a little low for me, so I'm going to try their 124gr when I order more this week.

I haven't tried any of their pulled bullets yet, I'll have to put them on my list.

I do have 1k of their 55(?) gr FMJ for 5.56, but haven't had a chance to load them yet. Need to order some frangibles, too.

And yeah, it is very nice... the way they keep you informed about what's going on.

What do you guys think of RMR's bullets?

Strangely enough, I've never tried their bullets.

Other sellers, like Everglades, American Reloading and Xtreme have always offered competitive product for less money (in the quantity that I order).

I really like their 9mm 124 plated FN (which they are out of now) This is my favorite practice bullet and what I am using to shoot in the USPSA matches I am starting to shoot.
I like the HC .230gr .45 RN shoots well for me. The .224 Federal Fusions I got from them shoot well and have preformed well in various expansion tests.
I have been happy with everything I have purchased from them and CS is great. Jake is a great guy.
Hoping they start making their in house 9mm 124/125 bullet soon.

I see they have some .223 frangibles for sale right now at a very good price. I recently bought a bunch of steel targets rated for 9mm Luger... hmmmm....might be fun to put those out at about 50 yards and see what happens.

Recently ordered .357s, 41s & 44s
I've had good experiences with them in the past & wouldn't hesitate to order again in the future

Still trying to work up a good accurate load with the 115s. Initial results have been a bit weird. Like shooting to the LEFT. I'm sure it's me. OP if I had some CFE I'd try your load. I have a CORE 9L and am trying to find the right combo.

1kperday,

Shooting to the left is a common right hand shooter issue. Are you right handed?

On the copper issue, I'm told we may have new copper by the end of next week or the beginning of the following week.

On a semi related issue. I just purchased plane tickets to fly out to the place making our 69 grain .224 bullet machine. We are supposed to do the initial runoff of the machine and either sign off on it or tell them to fix stuff. My guess is we will be making .224 in house by the end of November.

Yes but I don't shoot to the left with this gun with any other loads. I've shot 10K reloads through the pistol and it's like it just got reZeroed. Weird. They work well in my P226 though.

Both of those statements are indeed good news!! Thanks for the update Jake!

We recently bought a third M&P Pro to test with and allow some friends to borrow for 3 gun competitions. It shoots our 115's about 4 inches low. We bought a storm lake threaded barrel for it so that we could use it as a suppressor test gun too and now it shoots fine. Something about Smith and Wesson barrels is odd.

Interesting.... Your in-house 115gr 9mm FMJ shoots dead on with the iron sights on my S&W M&P CORE 9L. At 7 yards benchrest, impacts are absolutely *dead* center with the iron sights consistently. I've found your bullet to be much more accurate than my previous favorite, Barry's 115gr plated RN. I tried many different loads with the Barry's, and never could match the accuracy of yours.

View media item 57Top left is from my Glock 17, full mag. Not sure why it threw them all left. Hasn't done that before. Center is the 124 from RMR from my new Range Officer 5" 18 rounds I think, and the bottom left is the same from my new Range Officer Champion 4". Fired at 10 yards. Just finished up my first thousand of those and now to test the 124 HP I got from RMR and see which one to order more of. :)

I have to test loads in a RO 5", RO champ 4", Glock 17, Glock 17L, Ruger SR9c, and an Astra A-100, all in 9mm. RMR will supply all my bullets. Unfortunately my 38 & 357 only eat my home cast. Sorry.

I've been ordering from them for a while now. As good as their product is, their service is even better. I placed an order for .45 185 grain RN FP a number of months ago. They happened to be out of it. Instead of getting an e-mail informing me of this, I received a call from them apologizing for not having the product in stock. I let them know it wasn't a big deal and I'd just order something else. The person I was talking to was calling from their warehouse so he could confirm what they had in stock. He let me know what they had and promised to make the situation right and the I'd make out on the deal. Keep in mind they did nothing wrong. They shipped me another .45 bullet, and threw in extras. It's refreshing to deal with a company with that level of service.

View media item 105I had four mags, each loaded with ten rounds. Two for my S&W CORE 9L, and two for my son's CZ 75 P-01. I shot both of my gun's mags, then switched to my son's gun and shot both of his. So this is forty shots at five yards, with about one second between shots.

This is with Jake's in-house 115gr FMJ. Yeah, I know I had a couple of strings in there, but I'm working on it. I'm blaming the two fliers on the guy shooting next to me. He had an AR-15 with a brake on it. ;)

Need more bullets, Jake! Any chance you'll be sending out an email for those of us on RMR's email list when they become available?

I use a lot of RMRs plated bullets, mostly 124gr RN 9mm & 230gr RN .45acp. I also look for the "seconds" which shoot just fine at substantial savings.
CS is best in the business!

Yes,

As soon as we are up and running again there will be an email notification. It has really sucked for us. Since we started making them in June, the RMR 115 FMJ quickly became our top seller and it has a better margin for us too. It's been a sad month for us since we've been down the entire month.

Very nice threw my g43! @20 on steel first mag. all on. Ive been loading 45 for my Colt 70 series and while switching over to spp. on my t-7 turret waiting on an order of 45 extremes I got a lil. impatient. Wanted to try rmr's 115's and a new # of powder your way. Nice and clean yep! barrel did have a tad of burnt powder rearward very little residue if any. Just my opinion. nice.

I posted a review of my experience with RMR. Even with a holiday weekend the order arrived quickly.

The bullets are good, a great price so I'm happy.

Add that Jake is here and offers help when needed.

What more can you want?
