Hello all! I just purchased the Winchester RSC from Sams and had read somewhere that before mounting/securing it to my cement floor I should place a 3/4 inch piece of plywood underneath to keep moisture from the bottom. Anyone have any opinions on this? I do not want to go through the hassel if I don't have to. I have to keep it in my garage and I live in S. Florida where it gets HOT & HUMID! Thanks for any input!!!

Any metal in contact with masonry will cause moisture issues.

It doesn't have to sit on plywood, but plywood is an easy and inexpensive option. You can also drill through the plywood, then the concrete, to bolt the safe into place. You won't have to hassle with moving the safe back and forth to do so.
