Heey guys, i just picked up a ruger mini 30 with the wood stock and blued barrel. Its obviously not brand new this year because they don't make that model anymore, but it has never been fired and has the box. I was wondering what a good asking price would be. Any ideas?

I suggest a trip to Barnes and Noble or another well-stocked bookstore and look up your exact model in one of the several price guides they have in the Guns section.

for a new one they generally go for around $450 depending on where you live. most used ones go for $350.

hey, dont take everything so serious. post the question and walk away for a while and just ignore the stupid stuff, people here are really quite helpful:D

Just an attempt at light humor. I bought a Mini 30 for a friend of mine several years ago. I believe I paid $400 for it, but that was, as I said, several years ago.

I personally wouldn't want to own a semi-auto rifle like the Mini, unless factory 20-30rd. mags were readily and inexpensively available.

There's a place in Odessa, TX, that modifies Minis for $400 or so, for accuracy improvements. I'm pretty sure that they guarantee sub-10" groups @ 100 yds.

Give the kid a break.....

Don't bother dessing up the mini-30. Just sell it for BRO and if you want to
continueshooting 7.62x39 get something more reliable and accurate like a
used SKS.

Normally, I lean toward "buy American", but the mini series has been friggin
sad. If you go 223 semi, pick up an AR15!

thanks rockstar, i might look into sending it in there, i like the feel but you cant really expect a gun that short to shoot well beyond 100yds. im pretty much just gunna use it for poppin coyotes. or a bathrobe deer gun (aka you wake up in the morning and see a buck outside your window...) Looks like im gunna hold onto it tho. Thanks guys!
