Hi Folks,
Just wanted to ask the collective firearms knowledge pool (also known as THR) and find out what I should do.
I purchased one of the new S&W M&Ps in 9mm a few weeks ago and finally got around to shooting it yesterday at the range. Accuracy was fantastic, no reliability issues whatsoever regardless of ammo, ran like a champ, and very impressed with the gun overall, especially the sights (VTAC M&P has both Hi-Viz and Night Sight vials in them)
The weird thing is though, that ALL the casings would eject almost straight back onto the top of my head and chest! Extremely annoying! I plan on shooting it extensively this upcoming year, and it's my primary handgun for matches and training classes. Should I just send it back to S&W and have them work on it? Or do you think it is an easily replaceable part i.e. extractor etc and I should just get a better extractor from an aftermarket source in order to avoid the hassle of sending it back to the factory?
Let me know what you think!
Thanks!
