S&W N frame Gas Gun, 60's Tear gas hippy blaster

In this video I do a quick show and tell with my new toy, a S&W Model 209 Gas or Flare gun.

This is essentially a 1.5 inch bore single shot break action, built on the same frame as the 44 Magnum of the era (the N frame) This is easily one of the most overbuilt flare pistols ever commercially produced

Apologies for repeating over and over again in the video that it is made from the same steel as the N frame, as a guy who likes to modify, tweak, adjust, and tinker.... a flare gun this overbuilt made from these materials is just a very exciting prospect.... the possibilities for modification are endless.

I really like this gun, it has the feel of quality when you hold it in your hand.

Plus It kind of looks like something Hellboy would carry as a backup.

Actually this should chamber and fire a B 1/2 bore shot shell

It wouldn't be a DD, since it is a 'sporting cartridge' rather it would be an AOW

It would definitly be a way to one up the whole "If it don't start with a 4, it ain't enough gun" crowd....

Rock Creek was 10 mins from where I grew up. I always saw that factory and wondered what it was for. Guess I do now. Very cool.
