Pros or cons of the different calibers or frame materials

I love my 9MM EMP. I have never seen a .40 EMP, except in a picture back when they teased us about one in .40.

Materials? Standard Steel slide with Aluminum frame set up. :)

the .40 EMP has a steel frame so it would be heavier. the .40 would have sharper recoil based on it's sharper pressure peak. i would think the 9mm would be inherently more accurate

the one i handled at the SHOT Show in 2008 had a steel frame. i haven't seen one at a dealer yet.

Ahh, I see. It's been a year so who knows what they will end up using for the production version. I don't see why they would stray from the aluminum alloy unless the .40s&w is just too devastating for the frame to handle. However, I don't see that being the case considering the Sig P229 and P226 are such hot sellers in .40s&w. I guess we'll see when they hit the stores.

    i'm waiting too.

i asked about the weight and they mentioned that they had "concerns" because of the sharp recoil pulse, less mass to the slide (compared to the 229 and 226) and the shorter travel distance available
