I have a Simmons 22mag 3-9x32 on my Glenfield 60 and its an absolute tack driver @ 50-100 yards . Holds zero within reason and the optics are nice & bright . Amazon right now for $44.00 . I just ordered another one for my new Savage 93g 22WMR.................

When I was looking for a scope for my Remington 572 I ran across a discontinued Bushnell 4-12X42 at the Kansas City factory outlet store. Regular price was well over $400.00 and I picked it up for less than a third because it was bright blue instead of matte. It's a better scope than most guys I know have on their deer rifles but really brings out the accuracy on a .22LR making long shots on small targets much easier. Decent glass is worth the money.
