Any one have one mounted on there rifle and if so what are your views on the scope.?????
3.5x10x40MM

I have one on my .270 A-bolt. Mine is 4-12X44 though. It started off on a 7mm Mag Ruger then I sold the gun and kept the scope. I don't have one single complaint on the scope at all. I think it's probably one of Simmons' better scopes and has no problem handling tough recoil. Solid scope for hunting with and it's proven itself on my rifles.

I mounted one on a friend's 257 Roberts and it has worked extremely well. He bought it about 4 years ago when Natchez was clearing them out. He paid $79 for the 3.5X-10X, and I'm still amazed how clear and reliable it is.

Lonewolf;

I put one of the original Whitetail Classic 4-12X A/O's on a bolt .22 in 1999. It's been used regularly in the intervening years. It remains a remarkably clear crisp image to this day. I paid about $125.00 for it when I got it, shipping included, & feel I got an excellent scope for the money.

That being said, I'll not put a Simmons scope on a primary big game gun of mine. It's an excellent piece of glass exactly where it is, on a .22 rimfire.

I got the scope in yesterday looks great made in the philippines I hear they are a lot better then Koren or china made scopes.
I have to say clear sharp lens it takes a little to desire on the bead saned finish.I mounted on a Remington SPR18 243 cal. single shot.

Had one (3x9x40) given to me and have it mounted on my Rem. 788 lefty .308. I like it but don't have much to compare it to. So why am I replying? It's been a good combo - have two wall mounts from it; a 10 pointer from GA taken at only 50 or so yards, and an 8 pointer taken in TX at dusk at 100 yds, deer was quartered toward me. I say that not to brag about my shooting ability, because I'm only average at best. But the 788 with the whitetail classic on it outshoots me.
