I have recently purchased a Waffen Werks AK-74. My intent is to purchase a bumpfire stock.
There seem at present two versions: the fiberglass "Slidefire" or the metal "Bumpski".
Difference:
1. Slidefire is fiberglass/plastic constuction. You must replace the pistol grip on your rifle. Sells for about $289.00 + shipping.
2. Bumpski is all metal/aluminum construction. You can leave on your rifle the pistol grip of your choice. Sells for around $450.00.
Several have stated that the U.S. made CLB on the Waffen Werks will not stand up to sustained full auto (simulated). I personally believe that U.S. steel should be just fine (OK, No Green Mountain Barrels), Blaine at "Atlantic Firearms" seems to second this.
However, if the barrels do go south. Would not a "cheap" cut up Romanian WASR kit be able to field a true Com-Bloc chrome lined barrel at a decent price for replacement?
Just my thoughts kinda late at night,
Gunner
