very nice and congrats, i love my xd, i have the service model, over 12,000rds and still going strong, accurate, reliable, easy to shoot.

yup good guns...

I own 2 4" service XD9's now a blue and a bitone...his and hers I only have a few hundred rounds on my newer stainless one...she got my old blued XD9 after we shot everything (and I mean everything...I work in a gunshop) she decided it felt the best to her and she certainly hit well with it. In fact everyone I've put that old XD9 with on the range with has liked it and commented on how good it felt in hand and almost everyone seems to shoot them well...they just have great ergonomics...I wish the trigger reset was shorter and the break less mushy but they are good enough to do good work with in a combat/deffensive type pistol.

They just somehow seem to be very shootable likeable guns. There are probably 2500-3000 rounds on the older XD9 and it has never had a failure...did have a case rupture on a crappy reloads from a batch that had also done that in a Beretta 92...blew the mag out of the 92 and the takedown latch and spring had to be put back right at the shop...the XD was cleared checked and went right back to the firing line (I tossed the rest of the ammo...from "Alabama Ammo" HP 9mm... great stuff to not buy at a gunshow BTW!) Anyway there are some things I like better about the GLOCK design and finish but I can't really say I've had any issue with the XD's...they shoot very well and feel great while so far being top shelf reliable.

One will be fallowing me home soon! Just ordered one in a 4 inch 9mm all black for my fiance!
