OK for all you quiet types, want to hear your views on which comapny's suppressors are best for the following applications:

10-22
22 Auto pistol
9mm pistol
45 pistol
45/70 rifle
223 semi auto.

Shot a Gemtech aluminum unit today on a Ruger Mark II, screw on, it was pretty quiet tho it heated up...cheap units so am picking up a few....

Would like to hear re maintenance, durability, quietness, customer service, etc.

On the 10-22, I just registered one we made today, its sort of a basic design, has anyone played with various types?

The only one I have that falls on your list is a M16 suppressor. Mine is made by Ciener and is very durable and effective, but also a little heavy. It does get VERY hot when using it on full auto. However, it has functioned perfectly every time.

There are some newer designs out for the AR/M16 that supposedly drop the sound signature to that of a suppressed MP5. I'd look into some of those.

Here is a Everything in the World About Suppressors article that is very informative.
