O.K. My buddy plans to build one of my dream rifles. I've been set on a bolt action .358 Norma for many years, and one step to get there is my Ruger 77 in 30-338, -very close to being the .308 Norma.
So, I spotted a Mauser 8mm for sale here on THR and let my buddy know about it. (Oops!) He bought the damn thing! With plans now to rebarrel to .358 Norma..
So within the last couple years, I've bought some single shot Rossi rifles for my boys first hunting rifles. I kinda like them. Deer hunting this season, I actually took one as my backup rifle. For me I'll step up in quality a bit. -My boys will enherit my stuff some day anyway. Thier next hunting rifles will be nicer too.
Long story short, Now, my plans have sort of changed. I still want a .358 Norma. A TC rifle comes to mind. But .358 Norma isn't a standard chambering for TC. What should I look for, and where should I send it to be rechambered to my chosen round?
