One of the companies we met at SHOT called me up and wants to demonstrate how well their system works on one of my rifles. I'm game, but as part of the process the rifle stock needs to be milled to fit the newly sleeved barrel, so I might as well go ahead and upgrade the stock first.

The base rifle is a Remington 700 5R, and I'm looking for something with adjustable length of pull, an adjustable cheekpiece, and I'd love to go from the quick release plate to something that takes external magazines.

Oh, and I need it in 10 days. ;)

I'm leaning toward a AICS 1.5, but I'm not sure what other platforms I should be looking at. Are the Bell & Carlson systems any good? Does the Macmillan A4/A5 have an accommodation for external magazines? Is there something else entirely I should be looking at?
