I am in the process of putting together a Liberty Training Rifle using the Ruger 10/22 and ordered a set of the Tech Sights. I was told that the product was in stock would ship shortly. My credit card was charged and two weeks later I still had not received my sights. So I called Tech Sights to see what was going on. I spoke with Larry who indicated that the sights had shipped the day after I ordered. Larry was extremely helpful by providing some USPS reference and transaction numbers so that I could find out what happened to the parcel.

To their credit Tech Sights went the extra mile and shipped a set of sights via priority mail to me at no cost. The sights were in my mailbox the next day. This is excellent customer service! I would not hesitate to do business with Tech Sights again.

I was able to contact the local post office who indicated that they delivered the sights the same week that I ordered them. They were going to check to see if they could figure out why I didn’t receive them. The post office never did call me back.

Thanks to Larry at Tech Sights for coming through and getting me my sights in time.

Tech Sights also helped me out.

I ordered a set, and my wife, unknowingly, also ordered me a set for a gift. Both showed up within about 24 hours of each other. I called Tech Sights and asked if they would take one set back, and they said "sure, no problem."

I ordered a sight for the wife's mini-14 a few months back and recently an upgraded piece arrived with a note explaining that I might or might not get better results using that bit.
So, they developed a sight for mini-14 guns, an adapter to use that on the older versions, and then realized that an improvement could be made ... and sent it out at no charge and without complaints of poor performance from me.

They obviously have CS ingrained at all levels of the company, I'll always look to Tech Sights first if I want to upgrade sights on a gun. (hint to Tech-Sight readers, Henry rimfire leverguns and Kel-Tec sub2000 carbines are in dire need of your fine products!)

Mike,
We just got your sight back from the post office. It looks like it had been through the mill.... Your address was on unreadable on the package and the bubble package nearly worn through.

Anyway you can stop checking on the original shipment. I can hardly wait till health care is in the hands of our dear government....(a note of sarcasim detected)

Happy shooting!
Larry

law27, any chance of you sharing what the next platform to get the TS treatment is?
I've got dreams of my leverguns and my sub2000, and I'd be more likely to buy a given gun if it was in line for Tech-Sights.

I had a good experience with them too, after I got unlucky with the tolerances, and my original front sight was a slightly loose fit. They sent me a new one right away, on the other end of the tolerance limit, no charge no problems.

I had a screw snap off when installing one of two sets I had ordered, and they shipped a replacement out quickly at no cost to me. I agree they have good service.

I have thought about getting some of their sights for awhile now. After hearing how pleased everyone is with them, I'll go ahead and order some.

Tech Sights are the best thing since sliced bread. They turned my ho-hum 10/22 into one of my favorite rifles.

Which Appleseed are you prepping for? I'm an Instructor in Training here in Nebraska.

Alemonkey,

I was going to try and attend the Appleseed at Hastings this weekend. Unfortunately due to extenuating circumstances I won't be able to. Maybe I'll shoot for the May Appleseed in Lincoln.

Mikee,

We're going to move the May date in Lincoln to June due to some scheduling conflicts. I don't think it's been posted yet, but we're shooting for the 25/26 weekend. Grand Island has one in May though, if the dateworks for you.

I was at the Hastings one last weekend. They have a really neat indoor facility there. 50 yards, heated range, open 24 hours to club members. I was jealous.

I have 5 tech-sights products. 3 for my AK's, 1 for my 10/22, and 1 for my SKS. I've shot decent groups out to 125 yards witht eh 10/22. I can't say enough great things about the product itself. They are truly fantastic. They dramatically improve the guns. As far as the AK goes I thing that they are by far the most significant improvemtn that can be made to an AK.

I've never had any issues. However it is nice to know that if I did they would take care of it or at least be reasonable and friendly to deal with.

Also, just so you guys can check it out, in Call of Duty Black Ops, several of the AK's are using Tech Sights on them.

has anybody else had a problem with the rear peep being too shiny?
It has never been an issue for me, but I don't see why you couldn't make the peep less shiny. A variety of ways occur to me, from painting to scrubbing to just degreasing and not re-oiling the peep.

I have this problem not just on tech sights but on all peep sights if they get oil on them. I just degrease and it's fine.

Birchwood Casey makes a product called Sight Black (I think). It's like spray paint but is non permanent like using soot. It's meant for fromt sights but it would work with a rear sight also.
