From an organization that never fundraises and is 100% volunteer-based - LAW-ABIDING GUN-OWNERS WHO AREN'T TRYING TO MAKE A LIVING OFF YOU (LIKE GOA) - the NRA Members' Councils of California:

In light of the recent posts from GOA, everyone should read page 3.

There sure is some revisionist history in there.

I was fine with it right up throuh the contrasting Brady & NRA statements. Once it started getting into how the NRA is good to the exclusion of all others that just completely undercut the credibility of the piece.

I've been in the room when the state NRA-ILA rep refused to support a bill that was in line - supposedly - with what they purport to be for - actually it was a couple of bills. In fairness, they did support some of the pro-gun bills. And of course you can contact them for what exactly they did for the petition to repeal the NPS self defense ban - nothing.

It would've been ok if they'd explained - 'we did this to prevent something worse from happening legislatively' and then expanded upon it, but the thing about it is that there's always someone out there who knows what really happened. Sooner or later that comes out.

We don't need bash-threads against any pro-gun organization. Or between pro-gun organizations...
