If anyone is interested, A&E will have a show on Tom Selleck on 1/14/03 at 8:00 (the Biography show), which will have the Rosie O' Donnell incident, among other stuff.
I hope not. I like Tom Selleck a lot as an actor and a freedom-loving American, but I don't like the trend of organizations putting celebrities in leadership positions just so they can attract attention. We need an NRA president who can motivate the members to become more active and will disseminate, without dilution, the RKBA message as envisioned by the FF.Heard a rumer he might be the next pres. of the NRA. Any truth to that?

Unfortunately the NRA's pews are filled with sheeple. In this day and age, the sheep love "movie stars", and further (which is beyond my comprehension) put trust in their viewpoints
I would in general agree with this, but then the thing that bugs me is I really think Tom Selleck would make a good spokesman because from what I've seen of him, he would say the right things not because he was handed a script, but because he really believed them.Originally posted by rock jock

I don't like the idea of whoring celebrities for the media attention, but I would hate to see a potentially great spokesman blackballed just because he happens to be a celebrity.
