I noticed an interesting looking show in the TV listings. It's on National Geographic channel Wed. (7/29) at 3 Eastern/noon Pacific. It's a series called "Factory Floor" that visits manufacturing plants. Wed. they are going to S&W to see about how the .500 Magnum is built (among other segments).

Might want to set your recorders or check it out if you are around the Tube.

I've done the factory tour and it is pretty interesting. They have an incredible mix of the old and new (forges from the early 20th century in one room, CNC mills in the other). The only lame thing is that you can no longer visit the assembly area (it's behind a chainlink fence manned by an armed guard!)

I hope the guard is not armed with an S&W-made PPK or PPK/S because, if he is and he accidentally drops the gun or relies on the safety, he's in serious trouble. :)

So this might be a little off topic but can S&W employees CCW at work?

KD7, i've worked in afew gun factories now, and in each one, possesion of ammunition in the plant, outside of the shooting ranges will get you fired the first time it happens.

So no, no CCW inside S&W
