Vektor CP1

Well I picked up a Vektor CP1 and boy is it nice it fit;s just right I did shot 10 rounds though it to make sure it went bang and no Ftf or Fte,I will try for group later since I have a heck of a headach,one thing I do like is that it is hammer fired and not striker fired,the hammer is coverd by the slide,box and 2 mag's hardcase with it and it was only $375.00...

Looks aside, it may be a very natural feeling gun. Who makes it? What cal? Size, weight? Capacity?

At least its not a Glock! Someone tried to make that grip for a human on that Vector. Glocks are for people with square hands I guess? Why else would they make square grips?

This gun was recalled due to a problem involving the trigger system. Essentially, the gun is completely untrustworthy when loaded and may fire if dropped, or just sitting there cocked.

The importer will pay for the return of the gun for destruction. I think the total is more than the $375 you paid.

I wouldn't shoot or load this thing. If you want to collect useless pistols, remove the firing pin and store it where no one can mistake it for a useable firearm.

Follow up, Vektor CP1..

This is a quick range report following 10rd's...

Since I still have my headach I wanted to find out how the gun group's,so I went down into the pit on our land( Pit is 50ft deep and 7oft across at the top and 25ft at the bottom) and useing
a 50ft nra target steped off to around 20ft,7 hit's were in the black and 3in the 8 ring..

Vektor PISTOL RECALL: The manufacturer of the VEKTOR CP1 and CP1N pistols says that a small percentage of these pistols may accidentally fire when dropped or bumped, possibly causing injury or death to the shooter or bystanders. Owners are being asked to RETURN their pistols, for which they will be compensated including an incentive payment for their inconvenience. amount of $500.00 was to be paid for each return...

The Vektor CP1 has a gas retarded blowback action like found on the HK-P7..

The Vektor CP1 is from South Africa. It has a polymer
frame for corrosion resistance and light weight. Its accuracy is enhanced
by the use of a delayed gas blow-back system which reduces felt recoil

with a 4-inch barrel and a 10 round magazine........

The Vektor is a funky design, and one of the few gas-retarded blowback guns on the market. Too bad they had safety issues...it looked like it would be a great little CCW piece, nice and flat with smooth edges all around.

I actually like the design of the CP1. That funky curvaceous grip seems to be the forerunner of the more modern P99.

And check out the trigger guard-mounted safety. Cool!

But, I should be very worried about the safety issues on that gun.

Be very careful with that thing.

Needless to say, CCW is not an option!

I like the safety's location, and frankly, I think it's kind of cute. I doubt I'd ever trust one, but I'm sure a competent gunsmith could look your gun over and give you an educated opinion.
