Well, I cranked off the bolt on my Strikefire and sheered the bolt off. Called them up today and within less than a minute of talking to a REAL person, I had a new lower half of the mount headed my way. VERY pleased with their customer service, a little disappointed the bolt sheered after what I thought was a nominal amount of force. Best warranty experience of my life:D

I know that feeling. I tend to break them off inside something that is very expensive to replace...

That is great... Vortex is very well known for their awesome CS and Unconditional & Fully Transferable Lifetime Warranty.
After absorbing the nominal recoil of approx 1000rds via my AR15, I had my StrikeFire, flicker out a few times and then die.
I called Vortex, as I was on the phone they emailed a printable shipping label and I sent it off, within a week I had a brand new StrikeFire.
They practically had to have sent the new RDS when they received confirmation mine was en-route.
Never had another problem with my Vortex RDS nor scopes.

Not trying to be a sourpuss because I have a Strikefire on the way from Cabela's. But, am I the only one that thinks it's a bad thing for so many people to have experience with a company's customer service?

I once thought I had a problem with the red dot of my Strikefire. It was not the Strikefire but my astigmatism. I called CS and like everyone they were super. I got a new Strikefire but alas no new eyes!

Three people have commented so far. That hardly seems like a lot. And, if you notice - every interaction has been concluded with a seemingly no-questions-asked resolution that satisfied the customer.

Even Aimpoint, Trijicon and Eotech have customers with CS needs, mechanical/electronic devices malfunction/break... Period.

Search around at various firearm websites for Vortex product issues, just as here, you'll not find many.
What you will find when you find any, is exactly what you found here.
    99% Customer Service/Satisfaction from Vortex.

    Find that from another Manufacturer.

I've multiple Vortex Products, only one issue, and one unbelievably positive CS experience.

I dealt with Vortex and will say without a doubt, I love their scopes and their company. I will buy nothing but Vortex.

Very true but every thread that comes up about Vortex you hear about how good their customer service is. IMHO, if a company's customer service is very well reputed, like Heritage Arms and Henry Repeating Arms, it's because it 'has' to be. Point being, I don't take it as a good sign when folks pile on stating how good their customer service is. I wanna hear about the products that did not require it, not about a bunch that failed and needed replacement, no matter how prompt and courteous the experience was.

If you never broken a gun, or something mounted on it you just ain't been shooting enough!

Sure I hope I never need customer service, but up front I prefer to buy from places that have a track record of delivering it.

I'll find out about Vortex soon, my SPARC red dot has terrible parallax so much that the location on the target varies by ~1ft at 50 yards going from lower third co-witness to co-witness :( I assume this is a factory defect as I noticed it on the first few shots.

I've had no issues with a pair of the larger Strikefires.

I reckon folks just don't understand the point I'm trying to make.

Case in point, Walmart's return policy and customer service is usually excellent. They typically exchange broken stuff without hassle. Why is their customer service so good? Because it has to be. Because they sell a bunch of cheap Chinese junk. Same for Heritage and Henry. So when folks come out of the woodwork proclaiming how good a company's customer service is, that's what I think about. It's great that they take care of issues quickly and easily. It's not so great that soooo many people have experienced their customer service.

I don't know if Vortex should be lumped in with those three or not but it does raise an eyebrow with me. However, I am pleased with my new Strikefire. It's no Aimpoint but it didn't cost $500 either.

Most of the people I've heard about dealing with Vortex Customer service are either people who have done something to the scopes to break them themselves, or a few guys with the Crossfire line(the cheapest), or the cheap Strikefire red dots. I don't think I've ever heard any issue of people having a Diamondback or Viper break.

So what scope company do you like?

Good on them. I really haven't heard anything bad about their CS so far. how do you like the strikefire?

wally, it should not be like that at all! My sparc is pretty consistent.

I have the Viper on my m14, love it.
Had a crossfire that failed and they refunded the amount and I upgraded.
