What gun do your regret selling THE MOST?

A year ago I tradeoff my Glock 17 for a Smith&Wesson 625. I wish my Glock back.

I live here in Switzerland so I can't just go to gun shop and buy me a new like you in the USA :) They are some paperwork to do......

Every Glock model I have sold I turned around and bought the same model again. No more sell of Glocks. Pops

Savage model 110 NRA edition. It was beautiful, and only after i sold it did i find out they only made 800 of them.

S&W Mod 25-7 and Mod 25-9, both in 45 Colt. Sold them to pay for textbooks and tuition. Still kicking myself.

A Laughridge (pre-Cylinder & Slide) Series 70 Combat Commander, with Bar-Sto barrel, K-frame rear sight, (that tells you how long ago this was) red ramp front and Swenson Ambi.

Early 90's S&W 586, 6". My first firearm, and most accurate handgun I've ever shot. Still trying to get it back.

H-K P7M8. It shot like a laser beam. I paid $400 for it 20 years ago. I shot it a lot. Over time my interests changed and I needed a rifle........... Traded it for $600 worth of rifle, new Ruger 77 308 with a Redfield scope, ^&*#@! At the time I thought I was quite the gun trader; live and learn. That Ruger is long gone! I still have fond memories of that P7.........

I have sold two had two stolen and gave one to my brother.

The one I sold was a rem 1100 I loved that shotgun. But I had to pay the rent.

The other gun I sold was (I hate to say it) a Lorcin 380 acp. It would jam every other shot if I was lucky enough to get it to go that long. Many times I called it my Single shot semi-auto. I bought it for $99 in CA :what: and sold it for $150 in TX :what:. I did kind of feel bad for taking the guy for that much on it but oh well.

I've only traded never sold. Don't miss either a Lorcin and Tec-9, the Lorcin wasn't all that horrible the tec was.

*sigh* Why bring tears to my eyes?

When I got laid off and needed money, I only had two guns at the time. It was a toss-up between a Winchester 94 Trapper AE or a Mossberg 590-A1.

Yep, I sold the Winchester. A year later, Winchester was gone and the price of that Trapper nearly doubled.

*sigh*

Two guns: A WWII Walther P-38 that was one of the most accurate pistols I've ever shot. :what: Sold it because the chamber was so rough that I'd sometimes have to shoot the chambered round to get it out. Should have lapped the chamber and kept it.

The other was a WWII era Mauser HSc in .32 ACP. Great little carry piece and very accurate. Sear got worn to the point it started doubling, so I traded it to a gunsmith. Should have had him get me a new sear and fix it.

A Sig P239 in 9mm. It was a factory rebuild, loose and sorta dinged up, but it could shoot, and it was a great carry gun. I sold it in hard times. It had to happen, but I regret the hell out of it.

I've replaced almost everyting I was stupid enough to sell off years ago except for two guns that I regreat the most, an HK P9S and a Desert Eagle .357 magnum. When I do replace them I't's going to cost me double what I got for them.

Note to self: never sell another gun. Never, never, never.

My XD-Service

I sold My SA-XD .45acp all black service model to a friend at work who had just gotten the shooting bug. That gun never had a failure of any kind. The finish was perfect! The guy Loves it. I could not live without it! Soooo I replaced it finally this week with a new XD .45acp Service model OD green with a black slide. I about ---- when I got it home and discovered it had a couple of machine marks on the very front of the slide. I fixed that with a sharpie pen and some quality gun oil. [sounds crazy, but it worked quite well.] My wife discovered I bought it last night. After the Para-Medics got her breathing again, I think she will be OK.;) I think the XD was the one that pushed the poor woman over the edge-because I purchased three guns in the last four weeks. They should have never given me a Cabela's credit card:eek: Its the only card I get email statements for, so I can hide the my gun purchases.:D Oh well all is peaceful now. The wife is at work and I am going to shoot my new gun:)

The Best To All!

I had an Argentine (made by DWM) M1909 Mauser rifle in new condition. It even had a pretty piece of walnut for a stock.

And, in about 1984, I sold it...

I also had a Chilean (also made by DWM) M1895 Mauser rifle in new condition. I also sold it...

I still kick myself over both...

I was going to say I regretted selling my first Colt 1911 Parkerized Series 80 - but while I miss it, I have two other 1911s (without the gizmo series 80 safety) and I just hope whoever has it is enjoying it.

The gun I actually regret selling was a Taurus PT940 - that gun never jammed, was easy to shoot accurately and with rosewood grips was frankly elegant. The nice thing is that Taurus still makes it, so....

Except for an out-of-box failure with a revolver w/ bad timing (which the dealer took back on another gun right away), I don't really have a 'glad I dumped it' gun.
