Either the panic is subsiding or I just got one of my better deals ever. Just bought an AR with a Stag lower and Model 1 sales Dissipator upper for $550. Rifle has barely been fired and is in pretty good shape, though not a safe queen. I'm going to use the lower with a new LMT upper that I have owned for a while and been looking to find a lower for. I had originally thought about keeping the upper and making it a dedicated .22LR upper for my Ciener kit, with the thing is so heavy that I probably wont.
What Panic? Just bought an AR for $550 :)

Not sure of the model, but a friend of mine just called and told me his friend found a RRA for 750.00 at a small gun shop nearby.
Hopefully the prices are coming down as I'd like to get one but refuse to pay 300-500 more for the same models I looked less than a year ago.

Still looks panicked to me!
I just got back from a warehouse sporting goods store who received just three DMPS rifles this morning. Priced $799, $899, and $999. I'll not mention my opinion of these prices and how they might fit the level of quality I beheld. That is for another thread. Those were the only 'black rifles' they had in the entire store.
I asked the clerk how often they see them come in and he said,
"Not very often at all. We were all surprised to see these three show up."
I asked how long he thinks they'll stay on the shelf and he said that they'd all three be gone by the end of the day. As I was standing there, a customer took one off the shelf and had it boxed up for purchase. There was three or four other customers in line to fondle the remaining two.
The clerk told me that I had better buy one or two of them before they disappear. I thanked him and walked away.

That's a steal. I just ran the gamut looking for inexpensive uppers last night... quotes averaged 16 weeks. I've still got 2 months to wait for the Del-Ton upper I ordered in November. Good work.
