What pistol do you like to shoot that it seems only you have?

I agree with the Spaniard in post 108. The Star model 30 (30M) is my favorite semi auto and the only 9mm that I have retained in my collection.

Now that I think about it, I've never seen another Steyr M series at the range. I really like mine.

Some interesting guns here. Seems to be a fair amount of interest in shooting something that draws attention due to it's muzzle blast, proportions, shape, etc. Have to admit that, although I've owned quite a few guns in the last 50 years or so, I don't remember anyone at the range ever showing the slightest interest in anything I was shooting. About 99.9999% of people I've encountered at the range are only interested in what they are shooting...

I guess I have not owned anything truly exotic, but have owned things like multiple SIG P210s, X-5, P229 Sport, Walther P-38 and P88, multiple S&W Performance Center guns, Lugers, Pre-B CZ 75s and a 52, Freedom arms .454 Casull, various .357, .41, .44 Magnums, various 10MMs, Les Baers, Wilsons, Rock Rivers, etc. But, just can' get any attention at the range ;-)

Yup; very interesting. And lots more exotic than mine, but I take a couple to the range that always seem to draw interest. I have a S&W Model 17, Series lll Target Masterpiece in .22 that looks like it just came out of the box. Case hardening on the hammer and trigger looks new. And what a trigger--cock the hammer and think hard enough about "Boom!" and it goes off. Very, very accurate. I bought it new a long time ago.

Another that always seems to catch people's eye is my Walther p5. It is really a well made semi auto and very accurate for its size and barrel length. A great carry weapon; pity they don't make them anymore.

Most people at my range tend shoot 1911's or revolvers with the exception of the IPSC shooters who use mostly CZ Shadows, Glocks, M&P's and 2011's.

I tend to like the different or less common stuff as well as those mentioned above so I usually shoot a bit that is never seen at my range.

Morgo,

I started to point out that some of your pictures were upside down.....but then I saw your location. :D

Nice pistols.

Nice USP match and Hi-Power! It's odd, but I shoot some USPs and a Browning Hi-Power and I've never seen anyone locally that had either. I had the only FNP45 Tactical I've ever seen in the wild, too. Strangely I've seen at least two Wilsons locally and there are tons of about any make of 1911. Lots of Glocks.

I can't even find a Hi-Power anywhere in this city. Not many USP45 Tacticals to be had, either.

Just beautiful... Excellent picture and knock-out guns.

Guns You Like to Shoot (Maybe No One Else Has) ?

Uhmmm! After all the foregone, I feel like a peasant in the presence of nobility, but what the hey, "TT-Olympia" .22 . Forget about the SIG P210 !:)

My Favorite is a bit more Common--

I have really come to like my Two XDm 9mm the Most! They are both Stainless. The reason I have Two is I like them so Much! Accurate, NO failures of any kind. With 19rd mags they also Serve as Good Home Defense guns.

Best to All,

Frank

Just came across this thread and couldn't help but add to it:

-My Glock 21 (yes, I said it), because I've come across only one other person ever shooting one at any of the ranges I shoot at
-My Norinco MAK-90 (the few others I see are usually Romanian), and it seems all of the gang-bangers at the range are just DRAWN to AK's
-My Mossberg M590A1 AOW shotgun, and its ALWAYS the shortest shotgun at any range I happen to visit. I have yet to come across someone shooting a Serbu Shorty (knock on wood)

Seems Only I Have Huh?

Last week, my wife attended a week-long out-of-town Polymer Clay Fundamentals class. I eventually got a little bored and decided it was time to neaten-up the big gun safe. In doing so, I "rediscovered" this pistol tucked away in a dark corner. Well now .........

I grabbed a can of gun powder, a tin of percussion type caps and headed to the range. This was on a Saturday afternoon and it was pretty busy.

No real projectile of any kind, but it still made a good bit of smoke and noise. I hadn't shot it in years, nobody else had one and I got a lot of questions. To say the least, this thing is a hoot to shoot.

I've never seen another Jimenez JA-NINE at the range. I like shooting it. It's cheap, unique, and gives me a chance to practice clearing stoppages. Plus, it ejects magazines with sufficient force to blacken a toenail through my sneakers (okay, that's a bit of an exaggeration). :)

Beleive it or not.....

....I've never seen another Beretta 92A1 at the range and I like this pistol better than any other pistol I have ever handled.
