Looks like I'm gonna score an m44 in a synthetic stock for a really good price, someone has already removed the bayo and rear sight, so I'm going to scope it, so anyone with a scoped m44, how does it shoot?

Um, which M44
cause there are A FEW RIFLES that can be, or are referred to as a M44...

BUT since you are talking about a Bayonet, I ASSUME it to be a Mosin-Nagant Model 44...
So you want to know how well it shoots, well that depends on the gun, the shooter, the ammo, some guns do better with some ammo, others eat it all, others are just shot out, worn our warhorses...

And it's a real crap shoot as to which you have.
BUT, the running wisdom is, that a Surplus rifle that holds 3-4 MOA is doing great, and included in this is Mausers, some include mosins, other say, don't expect it from mosins.

The point is, if your gun is worn, it doesn't matter how well, or how big a scope you put on it, the platform CAN'T perform. And with Mosins, it REALLY varies, there are some that will shoot Sub MOA all day, and other that will do a MOA with certain ammo, but not others. And others that do well to hit the broad side of the barn, from the inside.
