DSA STG58C and a PTR91. Any leftover funds would go towards mags for same.

First, put the money in a savings account.

Second adjut your withholding. You should have to pay at the end of the year. You should be getting the interest free loan, not the gov.

Get an NFA weapon. I'm looking to get a suppressor. Only problem is that I can't take it to the range since the range is in Minnesota and they are illegal in that state.:(

With about $2k to play with, I'd get the top two guns on my list:

    Remington 700 Mountain LSS

    Ruger Blackhawk in .357

Either that or a new Les Baer - I'm a pistol lover too.....

First, I'm getting a bit more than the $2K back... that's what I am allowed to have to play with... :neener:

Second, I would rather not pay at the end of the year, I'd much rather have the nice check... :)

Now... on to MY list... :D

    I'm looking for
    Glenfield Model 25
    Marlin Model 30 or 336C (30-30)
Savage 110 long action (maybe Stevens 200)
    maybe a 1911A1 Milspec (stainless)
A nice good start on a reloading setup...

Nothing too over the top, and all affordable... :thumbup

I think my money is going into the M14SE Crazy Horse conversion by Smith Ent. for my M1A.

I wish I had a real job and wasn't in high school and working for RadioShack. I'll probably only be getting back $1000

I got about 3k to play with....Looking at a Garand, DSA Fal (Para), 1903, Rem 700 in .308 (with optics), Sig p220, Kimber Stainless Custom, and others....Just not sure which path to go. I will probably end up with another M1A, or something completely out there.

i would rather have one $1500 rifle (semi-custom/custom - would never pay that much for an off-the-rack gun) than 6 or 7 $300 rifles...

Thats probably the route I will go. I usually op for the quality and not the quantity. Although I would like to pick up an SKS to keep my poly legend company, I will probably end up with a custom M1A or Rem 700. On the Rem 700, What are some things I should make sure I get?

I don't really know what to do with $2000. But if you send it to me I will let you know what I did with it.

A Browning. Doesn't matter which one. For me, nothing spells quality and elegance like a Browning. Doesn't matter if you get a bolt-action, BAR, BLR, or whatever. A Browning is a wonderful way to spoil yourself. Get something in an action and caliber you know you will use. Get a nice case/scabbard to go with it. Every time you take it out of the case, folks will ooh and ahh. You'll take pride in it, and you'll enjoy it. This is a way to spoil yourself year after year.
    That's what I would get.

My tax refund is spent, already.

Filed the end of January and got it back. Bought a new Para Ordnance SSP and reserved hotel and airline tickets to Phoenix in April. The pistol took a little tinkering to make 100% functioning :)fire: new and needed tweaked) but is O.K. now.

Get money back? What's that? I'll be writing a check to uncle. And no, I won't be selling any guns to cover it :)

The first thing I would do is fix my W-4 so I'm not giving Uncle Sam a $2k interest-free loan!!! :banghead:
