I'd prefer a 45, but being the ammo too expensive, I would like to buy a 1911 in 9mm.

The one that I like is the Springfield 1911 9mm, but I've read that still has issues and does not work fine with all ammo.

So, what's a 1911 that you would recommend?, Kimber? Para?, Les Baer?

Cheers,

STI Trojan is still under $1000. An excellen buy

Order it from Brazos, they do a fit and fuction test before it is shipped.

I once had a loaded SA with adjustable sights in 9mm. It was a dog. I am not anti-springfield, they make good guns except for the one I had.

you may find an older Colt or SA that should be a good shooter.

I have heard good things about the CZ 2075 Rami. Safety is a bit different than other 1911's but I have no personal experience with them.
