Whats everyones longest shot on a ground hog or target with a .22-250? I used google maps to determine my longest shot was 604 yards on a ground hog. I got a head shot on him, right between the eyes. it might have been more luck that it was a head shot but he was facing right at me and on his belly so thats about all i had to shoot at.

I used google maps search and a dial caliper to acurately measure where i was at and where the ground hog was at. then using the scale that google has on the bottom of the screen found out exactly how far the ground hog was away. I guessed it to be about 550 yards but i wasn't sure and my Nikon rangefinder wouldn't read that far so i decided to use technology and a little math to figure it out.

The attachment is my factory savage. It came with that scope and cheap crappy stock. I recently got a new choate varmint stock and a BSA Contender Mill-dot 6x24x40AOIR with a 4" sunshade. Its a shooter. I handload my own ammo and get 1 hole groups, 5 rounds, at 100 yards.

So post your longest shots and show off your rifles here.
