The supply of phoenix hp22's seems to be drying up. Has any body else run into this and does anybody know why?

Not sure but I hope they don't go out of business. They produced enough of them that they'll never be worth much to anyone (think Raven here) so I hope they continue to stay open and continue to protect their guns under warranty for a looong time still. Their customer service is excellent.

One problem may be that the word has gotten out due to the internet: Their guns crack frames on a regular basis, no matter what type of ammo you use (I followed their rules and only used standard velocity and still had a frame crack). They're a decent value for the money and are pretty reliable after a short break in period but it isn't a question of if but when you will have a crack running down the magazine well next to the safety when they are shot frequently. Expect a lifespan of about 2.5-3k rounds before replacement.
