Why did the press ignore horrific 2007 Connecticut home invasion?

    According to writer Dave Gibson, it's because "what [the press wishes] to stifle most of all is how easily crime can be prevented by a well-armed public."

    I agree. I'm going to write Dave and thank him for running the article.

    For those who don't remember the case, here is more background:

    Let's not forget this case. 9/11 is a day of remembrance anyway.

    They didn't ignore it. They just didn't cover it the way we think it should have been covered.

    I remember this from the national news TV and print but there was not a follow up that I recall.

    Some in this country are all about punishing the gun and letting the criminal out on parole. So when 2 career criminals out on parole commit such horrific murders with a knife the media ignores the story.

    Guns don't kill people, parolees kill people ...
