Winchester Ammo, kind of disappointed

    Hey All,

So I think winchester has the best handgun ammo around. I like their Ranger series the best. Nevertheless, when compared to Federal etc I notice a few differences:

1.) Winchester has grit in the primer- this is most noticeable with their new supreme elite series. I know the bullets are tumbled, but this kind of makes me nervous.

2.) It seems like the primers themselves are sealed. Are they? They look a little discolored, and have some sealant material on the back. Has this ever been a problem for anyone?

Anyone have these similar gripes? I guess for the price of ammo, they should be at least cosmetically appealing. Thanks

Make sure it's made in ILL. USA

Just make sure on box it says Made In USA, as much of it is being farmed out to the Chezh Republic.. and says so on the box..

As mentioned, Winchester Ranger ammo is accurate and clean.. same as their WinClean brand ammo.. spent casings look brand new, within, after every shot. Either, mentioned (USA) is good stuff.
