Just saw one of these .22's for the first time over the weekend. WOW!

What if every rifle barrel was built like that? I know, they would be almost impossible to carry, but I was mightily impressed with what I saw.

How much is something like that worth? Thanks!

Model 52's were made in several versions, with the most common being the bull barrel target model.

They are bringing perhaps $500 to $2,000 dollars, depending on exact model, condition, and sights.

There was also a Model 52B Sporter with a lighter barrel and Model 70 style stock.

They are very rare, and a good one will sell for several thousand dollars.

Winchester & Browning made them again in Japan several years ago, and one of them NIB will probably bring between $750 - $1,000.

target model, massive barrel. Looks like it would be a plinker's delight!

There is a super looking Model 52 Target on GunBroker right now that requires an opening bid of $1000.00. It is just a straight model 52 and I don't know enough about them to know if it actually worth that much or not but it appears to be pretty much new with all sights, hand stops, etc. and at least 98% up condition wise. They are a fine looking rifle...............!

For many (myself included), the 52 is the Holy Grail of .22 bolt actions. I have never heard of a bad shooting 52....never! Even for models that are approaching 80 years old they still out perform current offerings. Every shooter should own at least one 52 in their lifetime....

The target models are roughly $500-$2000.......Sporters can bring $4000-$6000 for nice ones.
