A 54-year-old Woodlawn man was arrested by Jefferson County sheriff's deputies after a search of his home Wednesday allegedly turned up explosive devices, guns and ammunition. Police served a search warrant at the residence of Dennis Duncan at 19,662 Pisque Lane in Woodlawn. During the search, police seized two homemade pipe bombs, other explosive related materials, numerous shotguns, rifles, handguns and a large quantity of ammunition.
Duncan was arrested on charges of possession of an explosive incendiary device, unlawful use of weapons and disorderly conduct. He is currently in the Jefferson County Jail awaiting bond.
Agents with the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms, Illinois Secretary of State Police Bomb Squad and the Illinois State Police Crime Scene Services all responded to the residence to assist with the investigation.

The local newspaper had a longer writeup about it today, no online copy available. It went on about his large cache of weapons and ammunition of course. Just curious if anyone knows any more details on this and why his home was home was searched with. The local paper said it was due to an anonymous tip, but didn't expound on the details of what the tip was about. His foid was just revoked last thursday it also said, so something happened very suddenly it seems.
