A tiger mauled a keeper on Friday at the SF zoo. Makes me wonder what I would do if I were there with my CCW gun.
Real poser. San Francisco..... a rare TIGER...... someone's life in jeopardy ...

In SF? I'd open the gate and let it free. Cute animals need to roam free instead of being locked in cages.

At the Zoo? No. The other staff can handle the situation without me getting involved.

In San Francisco? No. Even if the crowd didn't beat me to death right on the spot, the local judicial system -- not to mention media -- would crucify me. You lives in San Francisco, you takes your chances.

Now, someplace where rational thinkers are in charge? Tough call. Kind of depends on the circumstances. If the fellow being mauled intentionally put himself in harm's way, well, I might keep it holstered. If it's some kind of unforeseen circumstance like the tiger is out where he's not supposed to be, then he might get some holes.

I suppose we must now segue way into appropriate CCW calibers for tigers...
