WTH is Kahr thinking?

It is not a German killing Americans. It represents a Germanic gun company (Austrian Glock) killing off American gun companies. Then a new American company (Kahr) comes to the rescue.

However, unless the P45 is going to sell for $400, the SuperNazi will probably have 9 lives.

This still cracks me up everytime I see it.

Okay there is no way to excuse this kind of marketing. We are talking about a defensive handgun. Most buyers, perhaps all smart buyers, don't care to discuss religious ideology or socio-economic beliefs as much as functionality. The Kalashnikov was designed and produced by Communists but has remained popular in the United States because it works and as much as some of us would like to pat Eugene Stoner on the back by purchasing an American product, that is not how a free market works. There is noteable exceptions to this, for example, I am not sure I really care for HK anymore because they continually point a blind eye and a cold shoulder to the American civilian market. And I don't even consider Colt because from what I understand, their owner is an avid anti, but for the most part, if I feel a company is "on my side" I am willing to support them and I don't care what religion or market system they adher to.
Secondly, we are Americans in a time of war and even animated, most of us are not prepared to watch any sort of representation of American service men and women being massacred--esp not in the name of humor for some sick advertisement. My brother will be in Iraq by the end of the week. My dad was in the Army when Beruit occured and was terrified he stood a very real possibility of being deployed and missing the arrival of his new born son--me. My grandpa was in Korea in 53. Everywhere I look I see yellow ribbons. Regardless of whether or not people support Bush, most people I know are extremely supportive of our troops. Even to demonstrate a point of limited and arguable relivence, how could Kahr think for one minute that such a depiction was intelligent or tasteful?
Lastly, I am not "getting my panties in a wad." I am merely expressing my disapproval for a company's choosen advertising campaign by stating that their ad has failed to encourage me to purchase their product and in fact their bad taste may have encouraged exactly the opposite. I am not piping mad and steaming and am not about to make a huge fuss about it. For me it comes down to they made a bad decision that represents their company poorly and I am not about to reward them for it.
