I need info from a pro !!!!!!
Hi everyone, i'd need info about a pistol CZ 75 SP 01 for duty shooting...
And an info about a pistol 5949 Smith Wesson 9 mm, the price for the second handsome, etc...........tell me what your info about these guns...... Thanks....... Alain |

What, exactly, do you mean by "duty shooting?"
For competition, the short info is, hardly anyone at the higher skill levels are using either one. Angus and Matt being the notable exceptions, but they have serious trigger jobs on their CZ's. They can work, but you need to truly dedicate to the DA/SA system. No one uses the steel framed 5900 series guns anymore. |

The CZ-SP01 is a fantastic pistol. If by duty shooting you mean IDPA style competition, the only downside to the SP01 is the weight. It's a little too heavy to be legal. It can be made legal with 10rd mags and light weight grips. Of course most local matches won't care about weight so you probably won't have a problem until you try to run in a state/regional/national match. Of course you will know you are "cheating". The upside to the weight issue is that it makes for a fantastically smooth range gun.
The straight up 75B is legal right out of the box. I've never shot an 'old school' S&W so I can't comment on the 5949. |
