9x23 and 38 super. Best shooting auto I got. Suprizingly the 38 super barrel is more accurate than the 9x23. |

Thanks for those closer pictures of that colt.
Colts have never truly interested me for some reason, even being a big fan of 1911's, colts just don't grab me. BUT!!!!!!!! that Talo edition is out of this world. i have no idea why that colt just grabs me and is screaming at me to find one and buy it. Out of this world beautiful.

My 1st!
I just got this Rock Island a couple days ago. I have never shot a .45 before so I don't think I did too bad. Now I just need to have the sights adjusted. Sorry for the cell phone pic.

D-Day, kindly tell us about the vintage 1911 in the black and white photo.
Is the pic contemporary? Is that an original 1918 Black Army? ... Reproduction? ... or an Armory Rebuild? Very nice, in any event. Is it for sale?

That hardballer makes me wish there were 7" slides on the market so I could build one like that without searching for an actual hardballer.
Seriously, why AREN'T there any 7" slides on the market? |

Well...Okay. Just this once.
This is about half the total. Got another half-dozen really collectible pistols in safe deposit boxes. The five on the far right are Norincos. I've added three more since this was taken. Anybody spot the oddball in this photo? Hint: It's in the bottom group. ![]() Here are a few of the rough beaters that I shoot the bejabbers out of. ![]() A 1925 Commercial Government Model...refinished but mechanically nearly new. ![]() A minty 1945 Remington Rand that 19112XS finally talked me out of last year because he didn't have one and I've got three more... ![]() An unfired pre Series 80 Combat Commander... ![]() That's all I've got time to go find pictures of right now. Dog feedin' time!

Here's an early Springfield 1911A1 that's become one of my carry guns. All steel and all original. An excellent duty gun and a fine shooter.
![]() One of the last of the Black Army Colts. As near as I can tell, original or correct. March 1919 production.

1911Tuner,
It's the commander on the left of the bottom group, yes? That's a lot of 5" guns and one lonely sub-gubmint model. Looks like the collection of someone who appreciates the fundamentals of the original design. |

ChristopherG...That's a 91A1 Compact/Officer's Model. Look closely at the "Commander" at the top of that same group.
