The Firing Line has a monthly contest - not limited to 1911's, but to any firearm. I probably shouldn't be adverting another forum here, but I see many of the same members on both forums.

you can get the knife at m1911.org......it takes standard 1911 grips so it can match your pistol

The photo doesn't show the wear on this gun, but it's there, as is a nice small crack in the right grip panel!
Just aftermarket trigger and sights. I didn't post any of the custom 1911s I have because I think closest to the original = very, very cool and nice looking. This one is about as close to original that I have, so I'm in the market! Last edited by DFW1911; May 1, 2010 at 03:23 PM. |

Here's mine. SS Para GI Expert and parkerized Springfield Loaded. Only thing I've done is put a Hogue grip on the Para.

Well done, Sharps, that is one great looking 1911. What are you considering for the finish?

 My best 1911 yet,and I sold it. one THOUSAND percent reliable. limp wrist, any ammo, any mag...whatever. clean/dirty, oiled, greased...it ran! colt special combat gvt '94 model.  old kimber ss target II .45. lol, all bad from day one.  Former wilson cqb. Don't miss it   This thing was the makarov of 1911's! rattle-trap city lol, but any mag, any ammo, clean, dirty, whatever! lswc's, hp, fmj, click, BANG every time. sorry i sold it...would have made a nice project gun. and i bought it for $400 from a friend.  My old Taurus   My les baer heavyweight monolith. currently being hard chromed. will snap some pics when it gets back.
