Two organisations working to protect our use of knives against politicians are the American Knife and Tool Institute and Kniferights, Inc.
Many of you are familiar with AKTI (http://www.akti.org/) and it's strong industry backing working on keeping knives in our hands. ATKI has been successful in influencing legislation to prevent one hand opening knives from being classified as switchblades. The "new kid on the block" is Kniferights. org headed up by Doug Ritter. Kniferights is more of an end-user organisation dedicated to keeping knives in our lives. Expect them to be very outspoken and active in individual rights cases. Both have open memberships and take donations to fund their efforts. http://www.kniferights.org/index.php...=40&Itemid=135 Quote:

Hso,
Those organizations were a breath of fresh air, thanks for pointing me in their direction. Glad to see there is a sort of “NRA” for our knife rights

Thanks for the heads up...................but very sad that this organization must even exist.

Are they banning knives in Germany altogether....?
In many countrys knife rights are under big time attack.
A forum in Germany reports....or at least this is what I could understand from the Babble fish translation of it. That they are or were banning knives, forums that talk about knives, and guilds that promote the study and making of knives. The forum owner writes in an understandably upset tone. If anyone reads or speaks German, a more clear picture of what is happening with this might be real interesting. the forum is messerforum.net
